Kleinwater College partnered with Marlin Technologies Group (MTG) to develop a water treatment solution that would provide a reliable supply of clean, safe drinking water for the entire campus.
Following a detailed assessment of the source water quality, MTG designed and installed a treatment system specifically tailored to the site’s requirements. The project was successfully completed in just eight days during May 2024, delivering a rapid and effective solution for the College.
The treated water consistently meets SANS 241 potable water standards, ensuring safe water for learners, staff, and visitors.
About the Water Treatment System
The treatment plant was engineered based on comprehensive water quality analysis and designed to process the available water supply from the site’s collection sump efficiently and reliably.
System Features
- Multi-stage media filtration for the removal of suspended solids and impurities
- Micron filtration for enhanced water polishing
- Activated carbon filtration to improve water clarity, taste, and odour
- Chlorination system for disinfection and bacteria control
- pH balancing system to optimise water quality and protect infrastructure
