Sustainable Water Management for Commercial Property Operations
The Parc du Cap Office Park, owned by Metropolitan (MMI), identified an opportunity to make better use of the groundwater resources available on the property through its existing boreholes.
The objective was to reduce municipal water consumption by utilising treated borehole water for non-potable applications, specifically the flushing of toilets across the office park’s buildings.
Marlin Technologies Group (MTG) was appointed to design and implement a water treatment and distribution system capable of supplying reliable treated water throughout the property. The water treatment plant was successfully commissioned in 2018.
About the Water Treatment System
MTG designed a fully automated water treatment and distribution solution that captures water from the on-site boreholes and stores it in dedicated storage tanks before treatment.
Once treated, the water is transferred to a central reservoir tank and distributed to the various buildings across the office park as required. The system was designed to provide a dependable alternative water source while reducing the demand on municipal infrastructure.
