St Peter’s Prep School sought a reliable water management partner to address ongoing water challenges and to develop a dedicated on-site water treatment plant.
In early 2025, Marlin Technologies Group (MTG) was appointed to design and implement a comprehensive, long-term solution tailored to the school’s operational needs.
Project Overview
Following a detailed site assessment and evaluation of the school’s water requirements, MTG designed a robust and efficient treatment system capable of delivering a consistent and high-quality water supply.
System Design & Components
The installed system processes 50,000 litres of water per day and includes:
- Three 5,000-litre raw water storage tanks
- Booster pump system to maintain consistent flow through the plant
- AFM filtration for effective sediment removal
- Water softening system to reduce hardness and protect infrastructure
- Activated carbon filtration to improve taste, clarity, and odour
- Chlorination system for disinfection and bacteria control
- Sodium hydroxide dosing for pH balancing
- Bulk reservoir storage supplying treated water to four ring mains across the campus
Results & Benefits
Cost savings & water independence
By utilising its own water sources, the school significantly reduces reliance on municipal supply, with an estimated return on investment within 45 months.
Improved water pressure & flow
The upgraded system delivers strong, consistent water pressure across the entire campus.
Reliable daily supply
A treatment capacity of 50 kL per day ensures uninterrupted water availability for all school operations.
High-quality treated water
Advanced filtration and dosing systems ensure water is clean, balanced, and safe for use.
Delivering Long-Term Water Security
This project demonstrates MTG’s expertise in delivering customised water treatment and management solutions for educational institutions. At St Peter’s Prep School, the result is a dependable, efficient, and future-ready water system that supports both operational continuity and cost efficiency.
