Supplying Ultra-Pure Water for Critical Healthcare
Marlin Technologies Group (MTG) designed and installed a specialised Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment system for a 24-bed dialysis unit in Umhlanga. The system was developed to produce 1,000 litres of ultra-pure water per hour for Haemodiafiltration (HDF), ensuring reliable water quality for critical patient care.
Water Treatment System
Using municipal water as the source, the treatment process includes:
- Media filtration
- Water softening
- Chlorine removal
- Dual-pass Reverse Osmosis (RO)
- Pure water storage tank
- UV sterilisation
- Bacterial filtration
The fully automated system consistently produces high-quality permeate water that meets the stringent requirements for dialysis applications.
